Gunda is extraordinary. Apart from art, Gunda raises the question: would you rather become an animal lover or stop eating meat? Now, here’s another: after watching Baraka would you fundraise child associations in the poorest countries or become a capitalist eager to show off your high level lifestyle on social network? Last one, free of charge, if you had to adopt a child to save the world, would you? If humanity were to enter a famine period would you spare your excess stock or run into supermarkets to buy more and more? After all what kind of person are you? 

While Gunda non narrative presents animals to look into ourselves, Baraka non narrative is a thought provoking picture of ourselves. Yet after nearly three decades, our world only got worse...
